Storytime and Fitness: Come to Storytime at the Elgin Public
Library, 404 North Main Street, early and get silly with fun an-
imal-themed exercises, obstacle courses, dancing and more
on Tuesdays at 10:30 to 10:45 a.m.
High Intensity Interval Training Class with Jessica Ortiz: Feel
stronger and leaner with this fast-paced, instructor-led class
for all levels of athletes on select Mondays and Wednesdays
from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Exercises vary by class for a whole body
workout. Remaining dates this month will be June 21 and 23.
The cost is free for members and $5 for non-members.
Wildcat Walkers: Socialize with other seniors while walking in
a climate-controlled gym at the Elgin Recreation Center, 360
North Highway 95, providing a safe space for fitness Monday
through Friday from 8 to 10 a.m. The Elgin Recreation Center
rewards walking milestones, so for your first 100 miles walked,
you receive a shirt, for 250 miles you’ll receive a pedometer
and for 500 miles you’ll receive a stainless steel water bottle.
Volleyball Night: The Elgin Recreation Center transforms into
full court volleyball for the night on Mondays and Wednesdays
from 6 to 6 p.m. Volleyballs are available to be borrowed. The
cost is free for members and $5 for non-members.

Days celebration, which will take place in Elgin on June 26.

The library reopened their building to the public beginning
on Tuesday, May 11. While COVID-19 is not completely gone,
vaccination rates and healthy habits have made it possible
for us to reopen our doors for patrons to browse our materi-
als and access computers and study areas.
Activities and services at tine library this month include the
summer book/movie challenge, book bundles, a summer
reading program and weekly programming both online and
in-person.
