AUSTIN - The Texas Water Commission received no
protests at a hearing Friday against an application by the
City ri Brownwood to amend its wastewater discharge per-
mit for expansion ri its treatment plant
The city is seeking to amend the permit to reflect ex-
pansion of the Main Sewage Treatment Plant located in the
southeast section ri Brownwood, north ri Willis Creek at the
southeast end of Hoover Avenue
The premit currently authorizes the discharge ri up to 4
million gallons of treated wastewater daily
if amended, the permit would authorize an interim
discharge of 2.77 million gallons dady Upon completion of
the expansion and improvements, a maximum discharge ri
3.41 million gallons per day would be established
The application now will go to the TWC for a final decision
