Prairiland 50
The Rebels continued their win-
ning ways Friday night at Patton-
ville. The Rebels scored 49 big first
half points to take a commanding
lead at the half of 49-24. The Rebels
were never really challenged.
The Rebels started with theit
swarming half court trapping de-
fense and caused Prairiland to turn
the ball over several times early in
the game. The win kept RivercresI
tied with Wolfe City for the district 1
st place spot. Coach Wood's Com-
ments were," We came out hustling
and determined to not let Prairiland
get in their slow down offense. Prairi-
land likes to keep the game very slow
paced and we did not want that. Our
traps bothered them and caused them
to turn the ball over a lot. We shot
good and hit the boards good, which
really helped. Eddie Williams has
really begun to take control on of-
fense. His shooting just puts so much
pressure on the opponent's defense,
and this opens it up more for ourother
players. This is shown by the fact that
we had 5 players in double figures in
the Prairiland win. We must con-
tinue to play very hard if we are going
to win the championship. All threeof
our remaing district games are
cruicial."
