THIS CRIME,
For diabolism of conception, for coolness
of execution, for retributive condemna-
tion, in all its melancholy details, is with-
out a parallel. The annals of crime do
not furnish a deed which, for attending
horror, for mournful results in producing
the death of three useful members of soci-
ety, for wrecking the peace, hopes and
happiness of two interesting families, can
be equalled.
This impartial history will contain a de-
scriptive Biography of the
MURDERER AND HIS VICTIM.
A succinct account of the crime ; the ex-
citement of the populace ; the arrest; the
jury of inquest; the arraignment and trial
by court of inquiry ; the evidence of those
who witnessed the assassination ; the evi-
dence of a colored woman and two colored
boys; the post mortem examination ; in
short, the literal evidence adduced in the
court of inquiry held before the Hon. H.
E. Mabry, (removed.) together with the
court held by Justice Jones, (removed and
re-instated) ; also the
ARGUMENTS OF COUNSEL.
For the prisoner—Hons. W. B. Ochiltree
and A. Pope.
For the State—Hons. D. B. Culberson,
W. E. Penn, E. G. Benners.
Also—The decision of the Judge—re-
fusing bail ; the commitment and impris-
onment of D. B. BONFCEY ; his prison
life. Also, an account of the assassination
of Mrs. Bonfoey, (his wife,) and
THE ROBBERY !
The subsequent release of the murderer
(on writ of habeas corpus) by Winston
Banks ; and miserable death, following
swift on his release, of remorse and a bro-
ken heart.
To conclude with an account of the or-
phans of the murderer ; the funeral hon-
ors paid to his Victim’s memory ; a brief
account of the woe entailed upon the Vic.
tim’s widow and orphans—truly tragic
events.
