Literacy tutor
training scheduled
A Literacy Training Workshop for
volunteer tutors will be held at
Giddings High School this weekend
The first session will meet on
Friday, April 10. from 6 30 to 9 30
p m and the second session will
meet on Saturday, April 11, from 8 to
5pm The purpose of the workshop
is to train volunteer tutors how to
assist adults in the community in
improving their reading levels
Participants are asked to bring a
lunch on Saturday in order to save
time
This training session is being
made possible through Employment
Resources which is a part of PIC
'Private Industry Council' and the
Giddings Community Education
Project which is sponsored by the
Giddings Independent School
District
Anyone who is interested in
working as a volunteer tutor is
welcome to attend this workshop
