It also was announced that
Carol Ann Stein. Donna and
Vickie Boehme, and Mary Beth
Jungman all won blue ribbons at
the Medina County Favorite Food
Show. Donna and Vickie qualified
to go to the district show.
An invitation from Castro Gar-
den Club to its spring flower
show April 19 was received.
Club members were asked to
sell chances for the reserve
champion lamb that will be given
away at Cora’s Place April 20.
The proceeds will go to the Me-
dina Valley Friends Fund.
Brenda noted that the rifle
team lacks an adult leader. Any-
one wishing to be an adult lead-
er for the team should contact 1
of the club members or an adult
leader.
A demonstration on electrical
safety was given by Francis
Haby and David Jungman. "‘Veg
etables in a Pickle/’ a demon-
stration by Vickie Boehme and
Debbie Persyn, also was pre-
sented. Sylvia Jungman and Don-
na Boehme gave a demonstration
on money management.
It was announced that the club
received the neatness award at
the San Antonio Stock Show. It
also was announced that Allen
Wurzbach caught a calf in the
Houston Stock Show calf scramb-
le.
Recreation was led by F. J.
Wurzbach, according to reporter.

Dunlay 4H Club
Has New Sign
Chairman Clyde Oefinger pre-
sided at the March 10 meeting
of the Dunlay 4H Club at the
Hermann Sons Hall.
The minutes were read by A-
malia Aguilar.
During the business session a
sign was discuss ed and dis-
played. The sign was made by
John Gholson and will be dis-
played at the Hermann Sons
Hall, where the club meets every
2nd Monday of each month. The
sign reads,, "Dunlay 4H meets
here. To Make The Best Better.
We want to serve our community."
Amalia Aguilar and Ann Reit-.
zer gave a demonstration on an
informal table setting and man-
ners.
The club is working on a
scrapbook which will consist of
things the Dunlay 4H Club has
done and will be doing.
Newest members of the club
are Sandra St eu bi ng and Ronnie
Krewald. There now are 16 mem-
bers, ’ '■ 02-
The meeting concluded with
County Agent Glenn Bragg stres-
sing the club should have more
demonstrations.
Refreshments were served by
Mrs. Gholson and Mrs. Bohlen and
included cake, cookies, and
punch, according to Linda Ghol-
son, reporter.
