office for rules to be used in
completing the 1965 scrapbook.
Mrs. Jack Hobbs presented
the Speak-Up-Jaycee-Ette for the
evening, a poem entitled "What
Is a Homemaker?".
The meeting was adjourned
with the Jaycee-Ette creed.

To Dean’s List
Fourteen students for the En-
nis area have been announced
by Navarro Junior College, Cor-
sicana, as having been named to
the Dean’s List.
The purpose of the Dean’s
List is to recognize the academic
achievements of those students
whose semester grades average
B or better. To be eligible for
this honor a student must (1)
have a grade point average of
at least 2.0 (B); (2) have no grade
lower than C; and (3) be enroll- Application Forms Are

all of their academic work."

District Director Says
Ellis Campbell, Jr., Dallas Dis-
trict Director of the Internal
Revenue Service announced to-
day that application forms and
other informational materials
are now available for the 1965
Special Enrollment Examination.
Requests for these materials
should be sent to R. R. Bishop,
Examination Coordinator, P. O.
Box 594, Dallas, Texas, 75221.
This exam is for persons, oth-
er than attorneys and Certified
Public Accountants, who wish to
take qualifying examinations for
practice before the Internal Rev-
enue Service.
Complete applications must be
mailed not later than August 31,
1965, to the Director of Practice,
U. S. Treasury Department, 1875
Connecticut Avenue, N. W.,
Washington, D. C. 20009. A fee of
$25.00, payable to the Treasurer
of the United States, must ac-
company the application.
The 1965 Special Enrollment
exams will be given in the Dallas
District Office on September 23
and 24, 1965.
Two Picked Up
After Shoplift >1
Two Ennis negro youths have
been picked up by the Police
Department in connection with
shoplifting at an Ennis store.
Items reportedly taken included
a bicycle sprocket, which the
authorities said was recovered.
Another arrest here was for
DWI.
