COMMUNITY CHRONICLE
Boys Ranch
plans dorm
The Rolling Hills Boys
Ranch is planning to build
dormatory facilities to
accomodate 24 boys.
Presently the boys ranch is
located on 19 acres east of
Cleburne. On September
16, Rolling Hills made a bid
of $50,000 to purchase
property on the river.
However, a rancher that
owns land on both sides of
the 70 acres outbid the
Boys ranch by $25,000.
‘We are disappointed,
but thankful for what the
Lord has given us -19 acres
where we are,’ said
Delbert Davidson,
director.
‘The 19 acres is almost
paid for. We are going to
sell a windmill that cannot
be used and pay the
. remainder of the note,’ he
continued.
Davidson said the next
step is to build by spring.
The proposed plan is for
two dorms to accomodate
12 boys each. Also plans
include a school, cafeteria,
barn, shop and a house for
the director.
‘We believe the Lord will
