Mr. and Mrs Albert Harrison
will celebrate their 50th wedding
anniversary with an open house
from 2:30 p.m to 4:30 pm
Sunday, Dec 29th at the First
Baptist Church in Giddings. Hosts
will be nieces and nephews.

Truck Hits Giddings
Car In Wreck Here
A truck was involved in a traffic
accident with a Giddings car
Thursday, Dec. 12 at 7:30 a m at
the intersection of Highway 77 and
290 in downtown Giddings
Involved was a 1960 Chevrolet
Biscayne driven by Isobel Sanchaz
Nunes of Giddings and a 1968
White Tractor truck driven by
Raymond Lee Fitzgerald of
Alleyton
According to the Giddings Police
Department, the Giddings car was
traveling west on Highway 290 and
was struck by the truck which was
traveling north on Highway 77.
Damage was estimated at 1500
to the car and no damage to the
truck No one was injured

driven by Val Thornton of
Giddings
According to Patrolman Bob
Thorp, the pickup was traveling
down the gravel road when it
came over a little hill. The driver
hit his brakes, lost control,
causing the vehicle to run into the
