and treatment of Sy-

disorders as a speciality, ho has become pos
se8sed of most invaluable information in re
gard to tho samo, and is able to compress into
vade nieuum compass tho very quinto sconce
of modiqttt science on this important subject j
as tho resnH of the experience of tho moat
eminent physicians in Europe and America
ig thoroughly demonstrated in his own highly
successful practice in the treatment of socret
diseases in many thousands of cages'in the
city of Philadelphia alone.
Tho practice óf Pr, Huuter has long been,
and still is literally unbounded, but at tho
earnest solicitation of numerous persons, he
has been induced to extend the sphere of his
professional usefulness to the community at
large, through-
medium of his "Medical
Manuel and Hantfóook for the Afflictcd."
It is a volume that should 1)6 in the hand
of ovory family in tho land, whether used as
a preventive of socrot vices, or as a guide for
tho alleviation of one of tho most awful and
destructivo sources evor visited upon man-
kind for the sins of sensuality aud impurit y of
every kind.
It is a volume that has received thenáñüalU
tied recommendation «fttie first physicians in
tho land, while many olergytiicr, fatbcis,
mothers, philanthropists and h^manitanans,
havo most freely extended its circulation in
•all quarters whero its powerful teachings
would bo likely to bo instrumental in the
moral purification and physical healing of
multitudes of our poodle, among the young,
volatile and indiscreet, otherwise tho pride
and flower of tho nation.
Tho author argues particularly, most strong-
ly.against every species cf solf-defilmont, and
warns parents and guardians, in searching
terms, to guard tho young of both sexes from
tho terrible consequences concomitant of their
ignorance of physiological laws and sexual
impurities and irregularities, whether exhib-
ited by precocious development or arising from
the vicious and corrupting examples of their
schpol-mates or otherwise. To thoso who have
boen already ensnaroiT to the "paths that take
hold on hell," a clear and explicit way is
shown by which thoy may secuvo a return o
sound health, and a regeneration of the soul
from its terrible pollution.
It is woll known that thousands of victims
aro annually sacrificed at tho shrine of Quack-
ery—especially thoso suffering from Venereal
or Syphilitic diseases—Strictures, Seminal
Weakness, Nervous l)obilifcy, and tho numer-
ous maladies which spring directly or less re-
motely from tho indulgcnco of carnal passion?
and secret violations of Nature.
In view, of thoso facts, and whon it is also
considered that abont 100,000 persons dio an-
nually in theUnited States of Consumption—
a large majority being tho victims of the vol-
uptuous indiscretion of their progenitors,
agreeably to tho Scriptural enunciation, that

GERMAN BITTERS.
Prepared by Dr. C. M. JACKSON, German
Medicine Store. No. 120 Arch streot, one
door below Sixth, Philadelphia.
Their power over tho above disoasos is not
excelled, if equalled, by any other prepara-
tion in tho United States, as tho cures uttost
in many cases after skilful physicians had
failed.
These Bitters ore worthy the attention of
invalids. Possessing great virtuos in the rec-
tification of tho liver and losser glands, exer-
cising thq most searching power in weakness
and affections of tho dilutive organs, thoy
aro withal safo, certain and pleasant.
Read tlio Testimony from Texas.

1853, says: ,*l have sold tho last bottle oí

bottle of Gorman Bitters to-day. It is quite
a popular medicino, and thoso who havo used
it speak in the highest terms of its salvtary
influence."
S. W; Fisher, Matagorda, Toxas, July 15th,
1853, says: uTho German Bitters have be-
como vory popular horo, and are moving off
rapidly. * ¿
T. II. MeMahon & Co., Richmond, Texas,
Sept. 22, 1852, says: u We are pleasod to in-
jbom you that your Germán Bitter give uni

rived in good time for tho summer Bicknoss,
and I think thoro will be a good demand for
them, as I find evory person who has used
them pronounced it the best medicine of tho
