Loudon & Co's
Cherokee Liniment.
THE original discovery and the only reli-
able article for the immediate destruc-
tion of tlio Screw Worm and Blow Fly.
This Liniment has now been before the
citizens of Texas for over three years, and
has been thoroughly tested as a positive
and speedy exterminator of those destruct-
ive vermin.
Louden & Co. justly claim the discovery
of this great remedy, and until the present
year noother Liniment was offered or known
for the relief of the Graziers of Texas: but
now, the unprecedented popularity of our
Cherokee Liniment has induced—the pecu-
niary reward—the proprietors of the various
imitations afloat, to palm off their worthless
( articles upon the unsuspecting, without re-
1 gnrd to justice, or any known merit in the
1 nostrum offered.
We call upon all interested to
BEWARE of all other Liniments

are all imitations, covertly to trifle with the
credulity of the people,
as designing persons have imitated our

our original Show bill and Bullock, the bet-
ter to cover their deception, we refer to

Headache.—This disease 1b on from wntch
«rise inore miieiies to the humsa family thaa
is generally supposed. Not being directly fa-
tal, it is often neglected, or persons resort to
much to the use of purgatives and other med|
¡cines, as to impair their health, and often in-
duce fatal diseases. The aiticle, Dr. Spohns
Headache Remedy, now offered, seems to have
overcome these difficulties. While its effects
are most powerful and immediate in curinng a
attack or in keeping it off, it is so perfectly
mild and innocent as to be used for infants with
tho greatost effect and safety. This has now
been attested by so many of the highest mem-
bers of the community, as to require no proof.
If taken a few times in as many hours, when
there are indications of an approaching attack,
it is sure in all cases to prevent the attack. If
used for a few weeks, the premonitory symp-
toms gradually subside, until they wholly dis-
appear, and never, without some great exter-
nal or predisposing cause, return. If the'per-
son neglects to use it till the headache com-
mences, it sometimes cures instantly,—but at
others, the turns will have their course for two
or three weeks, and then wholly disappear.
Connel's Magic Pain Extractor,
Combines and exhibits five extra intrinsic
attributes unknown before, viz.—Entire control
over injuries by tire; extracts mortification; re-
lieves all pain, of even the worst burns, bruises,
sores, &c., almost instantly; and heals, leaving
no scar, in the following complaints the mag-
ical salve acts like a Charm, and is warranted
to please in every case. No one Leed pur-
chase the salve upon uncertainties, as we guar-
antee it toaerate more effectually than any oth-
er preparation before the public, or any other
prescription prepared by any medical man in
America.
Its first action is to expel all humor. It will
not ccase actisg until the face is free from all
matter that may be lodged under the skin, and
frequently breaking out to the surface. When
there is nothing but grossness or dull repulsive
surface, it begins to soften and soften, until
he skin becomes as smooth and delicate as a
child's.
Hetces' Nerve and Bone Liniment, and th
Indian Specific!
Rheumatism, contracted -cord , and mueles
permanently cured The practitioner of great-
est skill, if honest, generally shrinks in despair
at the prospeet of governing and eradicating
these diseases. His remedies are generally
palliate, and the patient feels happy at any re-
relief l'rom his torments. If his family doctor
gives him any hope of a cure, it is at the end
of a long course of medicine that is to act up-
on the system, or at the expense of drawing
from the arm his life's blood, until, if cured,
(which it is next to impossible to be by these
means,) he has not enough of life left "tobo
worth living for." How important, then, a
remedy to check and eradicate rheumatism and
gout,—to extend and strengthen shrivelly and
knotty cords and muscles, till nature and health
have again sway and conlrcl. Such you may
rely is Hewes' Nerve and Bone Linimenr,
used externally, and Indian Vegitable Specific,
used externally, sold by Comstock «Se IJo , and
genuine only if the fac-simile signature of L
S. Comstock is on them.

Oswego, December 4 th, 1846.
"The great recommendation this medicine
has over ull others, is—
1st.—Its own Intrinic worth; that is, it will
do more than it professes to do than any medi-
cine I know of.
Pnd—Its effects in diseases are immediate
3rd—A very little wiil te whether it wil
Ip the disease or not. .
4th—The manner of putting it up. If you
dan sell to a man a shilling bottle, you will
never fail to sell him a larger one. (at least, we
have never failed doing so.
Wo shall probably want three or four hun.
cred dollars worth ne^t year. It ought to b
in every village in this State by ncjt June.-
You can say to Co mstock & Co. that they ce
rely on what we have stated above in relat—
to this medicine. Tliey know us well enoiah
—that we are not apt to exaggerate uonh
about these matters." íours, icc.h
The above medicines can be had in Bel-
ton at the Drug Storo of Eastland <fc Co.,
and in Georgetown, at the Drug Store of W.
