SPRING
To-day the birds are singing
The sun is shining bright
For the month of May is coniiny
I'o bring joy and delight.
The little buds are peeping
From their winter coats of brown
And soon the soft wind cometh
And scatters them o'er the ground.
The leaves that once were missing
Will soon begin to come
To shelter the tiny blossoms
From the hot summer's sun.

Just a little patch of sunshine
Mixed witlf a patch of blue
The soii'.r of birds unily singing
And a promise to me — from you.
Just a sound of happy laughter
Come from a half closed door,
It takes all of this to make gladness.
All of this — the world.gives no mor-
A dozen bright blossoms nodding
And having their bath in the sun
Such scenes will stay to delight us.
When to the end of this life we have
come.
With a friend like you to follow
Through fortunes good or ill

And to my heart's content, the purs.-
