Two men
die in
I isher
County
well
accident
Two men have died in
an accident on a ranch in
Fisher County. They were
hand digging a well which
was almost 30-feet deep.
Funeral services for the
two men, Jeremy Claxton
and Nick Walker are still
being arranged.
The two men were hos-
pitalized after inhaling car-
bon monoxide in the well
on Thursday.
Fisher County Sheriff
J.A Robinson says the two
were extracting water from
the bottom of a 30-foot
well. The young men were
using a gasoline-powered
pump to get the water
and apparently were over-
come by carbon monoxide
released from the pump.
The owner of the ranch
— Pfluger Ranch — a pri-
vate ranch on County Road
151 south of Sylvester,
about 20 miles northwest
of Sweetwater — found the
two men. It is unknown
how long they were in
there or if they were still
conscious at the time.
