in the Superior Court on motion to
amend the Mississippi bill, in which
the recent action of Gen. Old taking
possession of Arkansas treasury,
and threats on his part to take pos-
session of the treasury of Mississippi,
were discussed,

favor of amendment. Attorney Gen-
eral Stansberry replied that the mo-
tion to amend could not be received,
and oflicially announced it as an ad-
ditional reason against tbe action of
complainants, that Gen. Old had
never made the alleged threats

The Court was equally divided on
the question on jurisdiction, this ac-
tion closed the injunction proceed-
ings now before the Court.
After promulgating certain rules,
forms, anil proceedings in bankruptcy,
the Court adjourned to December.

Piner ent a female cousin's and his
own throat. No cause assigned. Iloth
are alive but iu a critical condition.
