The Shreveport division of the
M. K. & T. Railroad, from Green
ville to the Louisiana State line
and the McKinney branch, were
sold at public auction here to-
day for $700,000, the minimum
price asked by the omrt.

by the court began reading the
sale papers at 1 o'clock th s af-
ternoon at a p-rint where the
Shereveport division of the M.
K. & T. Railroad c •osses Stone-

fied bidder was F. M. Ether-
idpfe who held power of attor-
ney to bid for Frederick F. Gree
man, purchaser of the lines for
O-ok & Latham of New York.
When Special Master Flanary
asked for bids, Mr. Etheridge
announced his bid of $700,000
and the bid was accepted, clos-
ing the sales of the M. K. & T.
lines that have been held daily
since Wednesday, when the
north end lines sold at Colbert,
Okla, for $28,000,700.
The branch sold here today
will, within sixty days, be turn-
ed over to William Edenborn,
owner of the Louisiana Rail-
road and Navigation Company,
who will operate them in con-
nection with his railroad fncwn
New Orleans.
