Mrs. Chester Lawson of An-
nona returned home today after
a visit with her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. J. W. Welch.
Our down-town S. S. class.
started off encouragingly last
Sunday. We do not wish to in-
terfere with any one who de-
sires to go to the classes at the
various churches, as we said be-
fore; but we are desirous of of-
fering a place where you can
go if you will noi attend S. S.
at some church. Drop in next
Sunday, you men who do not go
elsewhere, and hear some good
music and a short lecture on
the S. S. lesson, or some topic
of interest. We shall have spe-
cial music each Sunday.
As soon as Brother Cunning-
ham gets here, (and we hope to
have him with us this coming
Sunday) we shall organize our
Junior Church. Brother Cun-
ningham will give his entire
time to church work. He will
have charge especially of the
young folk's work, and will as-
sist in directing their activities.
Feel free to call upon him when
in need of his services.
We trust everyone will un-
derstand why we are planning
services for Sunday night, in
spite of the revival services at
our neighboring church. It so
i happens that our 2nd Quarterly
Conference was called at the
time Brother Bin ford had plan-
ned for his revival early in the
spring, and it was postponed
until the last Sunday in April,
which is the latest appointment
the Presiding Elder could give
before District Conference, and
hence the very nature of ihe
circumstances forbid our hav-
ing it at a later date.
