SASAFRAS ROOT KING
One of The News' subscribers
at Como was a visitor to our of-
fice last week and told the writ-
er about picking up a little easy
money selling sasafras roots.
Nearly all the old-timers of the
timbered country remember
when drinking sasafras root tea
was a regular spring custom.
The Como man was reared by
good, old-time people who be-
lieved in sasafras tea and when
he was a child he was forced to
drink it every year. Tie grew
up to be a robust, healthy man
and says the tea is what made
him physically strong. He con-
ceived the idea of placing the
roots on the market in West
Texas and other places where
sasafras doesn't grow, but
where people who know the vir-
tue of the tea as a spring tonic
live. He says his first year's
sales amounted to over $250,
nearly all of which was profit.'
He is making preparations to
market the roots another yeai
on a large scale, believing, like
Mulberry Sellers, "there's mill-
ions in ft." If any of our read
ers are interested in disposing
of sasafras roots, write to the
Sasafras King, Como, Texas.
AN EXHILARATING (EFFECT
A bottle of Herbine on the
shelf at home is like having a
doctor in the house all the time
It gives instant relief when the
digestion gets out of order or
the bowels fail to act. One or
two doses is all that is neces-
sary to start things moving and
restore that fine feeling of ex-
hilaration and buoyancy of spi-
rits which belongs only to per-
fect health. Wee 60c. Sid
