Yesterday a gentleman connected
with the railroad Interest rode his
horse on Mr. Davis's invitation Into
the store corner of Elm and Lamar
streets. As he came out he halted his
horse on the sidewalk and was ob
served by a polloeman who arrested
him for obstructing the sidewalks.
Billy Klngdon drew up a resolu
tion to this eCect and if he bad
been an alderman would probably
bare offered It: "That the funds of
the city now and hereafter accruing
In the city treasury be turned over to

run the poor house."
Officer Clemmona turned his pris
oner Bkeens over to the state agent of
Arkansas and received a check for
f200 on a Taris bank. There was a
thousand dollars reward for the man
and the agent will probably make the

rooms formerly occupied by the Klnger

ant chat with Captain Alex Har wood.
The captain wa the first man whose
name appears on the subscription
books of Tub Herald and he has
taken it ever since. The captain is
