Yesterday an Irishman whose name
we did not learn reported to Olllcer
1'hares that he had been waylaid aud
robbed of a large amount of money
short distance east of the old
freight depot on the Central road. Our
reporter looked Into the matter aud
learned that the man had taken din-
ner at Mike Roe's Old Corner saloou
Sunday and left after purchasing a
bottle of whisky. He returned at
night and stated that while on the
prairie east of the railroad two nieu

by ladles of the Catholic church lu the
new building east of the Lamar hotel
was largely atteuded and those pres

fair for a collation of delicacies sent
us. The supper will be continued to
night and should be well patronized

court consisting of Messrs. R. D. Fish-
er and E. C Chamberlain ou the

of the sugars. Chamberlain declined

sale of Demavara sugars were sold at

On Baturday a lot of 7600 bags of
