'Nutcracker Suite'
Manuscript, Missing
50 Years, Recovered
MOSCOW. Dec. 9—(/Pi— The
Moscow News reported today that
a manuscript of Tschaikovsky's
"Nutcracker Suite" stolen nearly
u half century ago from the St.
Petersburg conservatory library
had been found in a load of waste
paper.
A young .Leningrad composer
named Zablotsky discovered the
score in paper he had bought to
cover his apartment walls before
hanging wallpaper, the news-
paper said.
It added that the manuscript,
turned over to the Soviet govern-
meuLfor deposit in the TtitJuuiiUY-'
sky museum, was believed to be I
the one from which the composer I
conducted.

tried to sell it back to him lor $1.50 "
a few hours later.
Jennings denied he stole the
