Mr. H. Roscnfelt
This la to inform you that check for
$32024.41 was sent to our State Treas
urer Geo. W. Gardner on Dec. 9th.
Our little Jewish community is rath-
er proud of the amount raised and I
believe it is well to bear in mind that
it is something to be proud of where
there are but 160 Jewish families 125
of whom are peddlers who are scarcely
earning a living 25 who are in busi-
ness in name only and from five to
ten who could afford to give two or
three hundred dollars and raising
clone to $18000 from the Jews alone.
In thia connection wish to say that
inasmuch as you issue a yearly
pamphlet showing collections and dis-
bursements we would greatly appre-
ciate having this total thus raised here
credited to our community individual-
ly. We have had this check photograph-
ed and as soon as it is released shall
send a copy of same to you.
Yours very respectfully
ARTHUR I. DARMAN.
