PREFACE
The singular purpose of all Links' program is "the improvement
of life and the pursuit of excellence through identifying and
* meeting needs." Links' structure for meeting those needs consists
of four program areas: all four of which are a part of the UMBRELLA
PROJECT:
1. The Arts
2. National Trends and Service
3. International Trends and Service
4. Services to Youth
This BOOKLET emphasizes and reflects the pursuits of excellence
through the ARTS as engaged in by the thirty-six chapters of the
Western Area of Links, Incorporated.
Each Chapter Program shows, in various endeavors of the ARTS,
personal enrichment and individual involvement in determining human
needs and global concerns. All chapter activities in the Arts,
engaged in by the Links, are executed with honest sincerity, skill
and dexterity. Some projects selected and executed required and
demanded greater effort, more deeply involved application and inge-
nuity, thus producing superior quality in final results. Whether
the project comprised a part of the four-fold plan of the Umbrella
Project, or singular in its own search for imporvement of life and
its fulfillment, each chapter deserves commendation.
Therefore, the compilers of these pages of Western Area Chapters'
serious and profound endeavors in the Arts, for 1979-1981,pronounce
each Chapter the recipient of much praise!
