WHEELS AND FUN
"Hi, pal, have a glorious Fourth?"
rbese people ami their perverted
sense of humor. Can't they see that
we're as tired as heck and look as if
we hadn't slept in weeks'.' No, it
set.-nis that they can't.
The natives of the county seemed
to bt iloing a hit of gong-kicking
down on the square Tuesday night,
judging from the strains of "Turkey
in the Straw," "My Harling Nelly
Gray," and a few other numbers dear
to our granddads' hearts, which
reached our ears as we strulied about
the quadrangle. The odd thing about
it, to us, was that all engaged seem-
ed to be getting a tremendous kick
out of the whole thing, (Perhaps the
thirty six holes of golf we played dur-
ing the day sorln warped our per-
spective, not to mention our limbs.)
Why, we even saw our friend and
cohort, t'oiyumist Phil, gamboling
across the Court, House green.

Folks, thowp of us who have been teaching
during the last year, realize that the little
things dt) count. The majority of us are going
to school with the intention of becoming better
teachers and citiiens Need we point out the
moral inconsistency of doing our work well,
attempting to make good fellows of ourselves
white among friends, and deliberately, with
malite aforethought, trying to get ahead of our
sertifMiious fellow students?
It may be that our once having been to a

we show our patriotic r.eal, that same

Americans in war time, in helping our
president put over his reconstruction

sissies, that's exactly what you need.
