tion of the Ministerial Association of
Abilene and held at the opera house
Sunday night and largely attended
movement wbb put on foot having as
a purpose the thorough organization
of the prohibition forces of TayJor
county to wage a relentless battlo' in
behalf of statc-wido prohibition It
1b now the concensus of opinion .that
the next legislature will call an elec-
tion submitting n constitutional amend
mont providing for slate-wide prohi-
bition and the object Of last night's
meeting was to get this fact heforo the
people and start a movement to fight
for prbhibltion in that election.
Hop. A. H. KIrby was elected county
chairman of the prohibition organiza
tion and Rev George H. Morrison se-
. Iretary.
Seyerarmusical selections were giv-
en at the rally by members of the va-
fious church choirs all of the churches
having cancelled their Sunday night
services In the interest of the prohibi-
tion meeting. A number of prayers
wore offered and a scripture lesson
