The revival at the Fim Baptist
church continues with unabated inter-
est. There was. a great meeting Sat-
urday night and several persons were
converted.
Yesterday was a great day for
Christ's cause in Bryan. There were
five important meetings held yester-
day. Rev. Finney gave to the Sunday
school a chemical demonstration illus-
trating how the blood of Christ
cleanses and purifies our lives and
our souls. Quite a number of children
publicly professed Christ as their
Saviour.
At 11 o'clock a very large audience
heard the . preacher on the subject
"Beyond the Devil's Reach." It was
indeed a great sermon. Many went
away saying that it was one of thj
greatest sermons they had ever heard.
He set forth the power of God to save
forever the soul and to enable man to
keep under subjection his body.
The men's meeting in the afternoon
was well attended and helpful service
was held in which one man was saved
and another was restored.
Mr. Hiett led the Baptist Young
Feople's Union meeting. The attend-
ance was large and numbers pledged
themselves to try with God's help to
lead some soul to Christ during the
meeting. It was a fine meeting of
young pe"pie.
At night there was an overflow In
the congregation and some were un-
able to get seats in the church even
after every available space had been
taken and chairs put In all the aisles.
A sea of faces looked up into the
singer's face as he led them In song
and into the evangelist's face as he
spoke for God and as God's ambassa-
dor. "Hell" was the subject of the
evening sermon. The place and tne
associations were depicted in wonder-
fully descriptive language. More than
a dozen young men and young ladies
professed faith in the Saviour at this
service. This was truly a great meet-
ing Services continue rain or shine at
10 a. m. and 7:43 p. m. Come out.
You will receive a welcome.
