cona, spent Tuesday here with their
son, Comer Knox, and Mrs. Knox.
Mr. ^ and Mrs. Charley Stephens
were in Myra last Sunday to attend
the mealing being conducted there
by Rev. John Nothalf.
Nig Henley spent Monday with
his sister, Mrs. Ray Gilliland in
Gladys.
Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Sawyer were
vlaiting friends in Wichita Falls
on Wednesday.
Mrsi, Clarence O'Neal and daugh
ter, iBvelyon Jean, were in Mon-
tague Tuesday.
Miss Opal McGuyre of Wichita
Falls and Pete McGuyre of Saint
Jo, were Sunday guests of their
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mack Mc-
Guyre.
Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Childress
of Oklahoma, caine in Saturday for
a visit, with their sister, Mrs. Viola
Adams, his brothers, L. D. and W.
O. Childress and other relatives.
Mrs. Childress returned to his home
on Sunday evening' and Mrs. Chil-
dress remained for a more extend-
ed visit.
Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Dennis wish
to extend their sincere th&nks to each
friend who has in any way helped
them since the recent loss of their
home by fire.
CAPS CORNER NOW HAS
"BRIGHT LIGHTS"
People of Caps Corner staged a
real 'celebration on last Saturday
night when the high line leading
to their community was energized.
New light shed a brilliant glow
over the 150 persons who were en-
joying the affair. Cokes and ice
cream were served to those in at-
tendance.

Mrs. Dennis by those enjoying the

Mrs. Charles Hart of Gainesville
and Mrs. Mabel Fleming and daugh-
ter, Louise, left Saturday morning
for various parts of California.
They will be joined by relatives
in Montague and the whole party
will journey to the Golden Gate
Exposition. They will also visit
with relatives in San Francisco.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Wilson an-
nounce the birth of their daughter,
Shirley Erwine on April 26th.
Mrs. Willis Fleming, Mrs. D. Tay-
lor and Mrs. Opal Davenport and
daughter, Pauline, were in Courtney
over the week-end visiting with
relatives.
Miss Marie McMurry former stu-
dent in Illinois Bend school, has
been elected *s a teacher in the
school in Spanish Fort for the
coming year. She will teach the 6th
and 7th grades.
Miss Opal Parker left Monday
for Wichita Falls, where sh* will
enroll as a student in a College
for Beauty Culture.
Word has been received here of
the birth of a son to Mr. and Mrs.
Everett Martin. Mrs. Martin will be
remembered here as Miss Mildred
Ruck.
