Candlelight wedding ceremony unites
Miss Paula Wyninegar, Jerry Tigert
A double ring wedding cere-
mony at the First Baptist
Church of Naples Friday, June
16, united Miss Paula Jean Wy-
ninegar and Jerry Ray Tigert
in marriage. The Rev. Eddie
Cummings officiated.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Wynine
gar of Naples, and parents of
the bridegroom are Mr. and
Mrs. Joe Tigert of Omaha.
Marriage vows were exchang-
ed before the altar which fea-
tured a candle arch which ra-
diated a mammoth sunburst of
white gladioli and white mums
and pom-poms. At either side
of the central arrangement
were matching pedestal bas-
kets of flowers and large can-
dle trees, entwined with green-
ery.
Family pews were marked
with large white satin bows
and greenery.
Pre-nuptial organ music was
presented by Mrs. Carl Talley,
who accompanied Mrs. Eddie
Cummings as she sang "Be-
cause" and "Oh Perfect Love".
As the couple knelt for the
benediction Mrs. Cummings
sang the "Wedding Prayer".
Approaching the altar with
the bridegroom was his broth-
er. Bobby Tigert. Groomsmen
were Paul Smith and Jimmy
Wyninegar, brother of the
bride
Jerry Lynn Garrett, cousin
of the bride, and Johnny Wy-
ninegar, brother of the bride,
were candlelighters and ush-
ers.
Preceding the bride down
the aisle were the honor at-
tendants. Miss Patricia Hicks,
maid of honor, and Miss Mar-
vadene Brock and Miss Rebec-
ca Brian, bridesmaids. They
wore formal length gowns of
pink crepe, designed with em-
pire style with lace sleeves
and a bow in back with floor
length streamers. They wore
matching bows in their hair,
each carrying a single long-
stemmed pink rose.
Little Miss Lea Ann Simpson,
cousin of the bride, scattered
pink rose petals from a pink
and white basket in the path
of the bride. Her floor length
gown of pink crepe was de-
signed in identical fashion to
those of the bridesmaids. She
wore a tiny strand of pearls, a
gift of the bride.
The bride entered the sanc-
tuary with her father, who
gave her in marriage. She
wore a formal length gown of
white crystelle peau de soie
designed with empire waist.
Hand re-embroidered French
imported Alencon lace entwin-
ed with pearls traced the neck
and bodice and formed two
narrow columns down the
front of the skirt and around
the bottom.
Her chapel length train was
attached at the back of the
empire with a bow and Alen-
con lace motifs embroidered
with pearls, trimmed the train.
The bride's three-tiered veil of
silk illusion was caught to four
satin roses encrusted with seed
pearls and lace petals.
Her only jewelry was a small
strand of pearls, a gift of the
bridegroom. In keeping with
tradition, the bride wore
"something old, new, borrow-
ed, and blue, with a penny in
her shoe".
Her cascade bouquet was of
white roses centered with a
white orchid and tied with tiny
white streamers caught in love
knots atop a white Bible, a gift
of her parents.
The bride's mother wore a
pink lace tunic dress with
matching accessories and a
white orchid.
