fact' that there are- twenty-nine days.

that-day; another would devote it to
a general clean-up campaign; and

deal on New Year's Greetings but
have just received a card from a
Brownwood friend that Has caused
the "decision to reopen ' the subject.
This friend has had- a poem printed
for the occasion the scheme being
worked out-in a style suituble for
framing. It will occupy a place on the
wall "over this desk during the good
year- WIG u place alongside the motto
of which you have heard and the pic-
ture o.f a young woman of which you
have not heard. Here is the poem
which we reproduce in full because
we have long wished to be able to
slip It to the public in a way that
would cause them o read. If we
bad ' written the poem we couldn't
have done any better than Mr. Kipling
lias done. We desire to compliment
Mr. Kipling whoever He Is. maybe a
