THE St. Paul Pioneer Press ascribes
the cause of great floods
on water courses, like the late
Brazes flood, to the destruction
of forests in the vallie, of the
streams. As the press fails to
give any reason for such a conclusion,
we refuse to accept the
'theory, but cling to the opinion
that these destructive floods are
caused by excessive rain fall.
THE kissing bug has made its
'apperance in Dallas and other
places in Texas. The lip is its
point of attack and that member
is greatly swollen from its sting.
The News thus describes this insect

"In appearance the bug is long

his back is a curved ridge with
spines like half of a small buzz

I tried it I don't like it so well.

very funny animals; something
like the Irishman's flea: 'Think
you got'em when you haven't.'
I wish those three boys I proposed

scare I gave them will cause them
to leave the matrimonial market.""'Agree with thine adversary

We can afford to yield something
of our abstract rights rather than
incur the expensive and vexatious
litigation which would follow.
Moreover, in leagal as in intellectual
