vember, and the travelling public may rest assured that every
comfort calculated for their convenience, will be bountifully
and cheerfully at their sei vice. The Stable shall be well pro
Tided with corn, fodder and hay. The subscriber has a Bat-
room within fitly feet ofthe Hotel, and it shall be stored with
th' choicest wine , liquors, and segars. A spk Billard
Table is in the same room, which will be free to hurdlers for
recreation. In addition I have the best collection ol Texian
curiosities, that can be found in the Republic ol Texas, wh ch
were proi ured by great labor and expense, from the bed ofthe
Br zos river. 1 he traveller shall be pleased if these atiractions
will have any weight, besides the attention which will beciven

The subscribers, (Masons,) engaged upon the work of the new?
custom house, from its commencement, being requestedto state
their opinion as to the quality ofthe Rosendale Cement, declare that
they have aided in pulling down buildings m the old country, which
had stood for upwards ot five hundred years, and that on one or two
occasions they had to remove some ot the work on this building,
winch had only been laid in th? Rosendale Cement for about three
months. hereby freely certify that it was as hard and firm as that
which had stood for five hunn ed years. ,

PILOTAGE REGULATIONS.

BY an Act of Congress passed the 23d of May, 1638, it is
made the duty "of the several collectors of the Ports
throughout the Republic, to appoint and control Pilots for thpir
respective ports;" and in order th-it all interested may be in-
formed thereof, the fo' lowing regulations for the government of
this port are hereby made known.
All vessels inwaVd bound, spoken by a pilot outside the bar,
and refusing his services, will pay half pilotage.
All vessels inward bound, having crossed the bar before be-
in? spoken by a pilot, will pay no pilotage unless a pilot is taken,
w b i half pilotage only will be paid.
a M vessel brought into the Harbor bv a pilot, and all vessels
in .van I bound, spoken by a pHot outside the bar, will pay half
pilotage when outward bound, if a pilot's services are offered
and refused.
Rates of Pilotage on all vessels drawing nine feet and under,
2,50, per f ot, par funds: on xll vessels drawing over nine'
feet, $.1,0 per loot, par funds.
