Tech Shutterbugs
Lamar Tech students
this week were offered a
whopping bargain.
Until Oct. 10, students
may purchase $5 season
tickets to Beaumont's
Community Players pro-
ductions for $2.50. A sea-
son ticket admits bearer to
the Players' six major
productions‘of the 1956-57
season.
Under the directi on of
Charles Lane, former La-
mar Tech speech instruc-
tor, "Kiss Me Kate," the
musical comedy based up-
on Shakespeare's "Taming
of the Shrew," will open on
Oct. 11 for a five-day run.
Other plays to be present-
ed this season include John
Van Druten's "The Voice
of the Turtle;" Thornton
Wilder's "Our Town;"
Tennessee Williams' "The
Glass Menagerie," and
"South Pacific" by Rogers
and Hammer stein.
John Quinn, Lamar Tech
student, is in charge of
ticket sales.
Plan First Meeting
Lamar Tech Shutterbugs
will meet Monday at 4 p.m.
in The Redbird office, ac-
cording to Shutterbug

A Waistline dance is be-
ing sponsored by the Kappa
Delta sorority Wednesday,
