at Campaign Headquarters
in the Ridgewood Center.
Lee Me Gown, president.
Dr. John Greco, candidate
for r epresentative of the
Second Congressional
District, spoke. Also a
film was shown on cam-
paign techniques.

joined the club, now in its
second semester at Lamar.
Me Gown said those int-
erested in joining should

Abilene Christian College
the team to beat in South-
land C onference football
this year, and Saturday at
7:30 p.m.here. Lamar
Tech Cardinals will try to
disprove that theory.
Abilene Christian College
will bring a perfect record
into Cardinal Stadium this
weekend. Two wins this
season over Howard Payne
and East Texas State
Col lege give the W ildcats
the edge in the game. ACC
beat Howard Payne, 24-^
and East Texas 17-11.
Not only are the Wildcats
undefeated in 1964 grid
play, but their undefeated"
string goes back 10 games
into last year's slate when
they ran up an 8-1 record.
Their undefeated string
began with a 25-0 drubbing
of Lamar Tech last year.
Coach Les Wheeler, him-
self a 1951 graduate of
ACC r uns his team from
the Wing-T offense and
boasts eight returning
starters from last year's
squad.
An ace in the hole for
Lamar Tech is the defi-
ciency of a proven defens-
