Theatre Activities
The Department of Speech
will introduce Shake-
speare to the campus with
the production of °Julius
Caesar" Monday through
Friday, November 17-21.
In addition to (he regular
performances for Lamar
Tech students and Beau-
monters, special perform -
ances will be given for
high school students of the
area. "Julius Caesar" will
mark the. first stage pre -
sentation in the remodeled
Lamar Tech Auditorium.
Auditorium improvement
will include the enlarging
and elevation of the stage,
the creation of an orches-
tra area, and acoustical
treatment of the Auditori-
um proper and the addition
of three lighting bridges
across the.ceiling of the
Auditorium. The interior
of the Auditorium will thus
have a new look with the
platform type stage and
related lighting faculties.
Projection of scenery on
the back wall of the stage
will be used. Other Speech
D e p a rtment productions
include the Faculty Play
Reading, October 22-24,
activities, whether acting
or b a c k s t a ge work, are
urged to attend this meet-
ing. Sam Havens is Presi-
