The " Redfci■ d Express"
will leave Beaumont Satur-
day en route to Kingsville,
and the Lamar -A &I game,
a c c o r ding to Mr. George
McLaughlin, Director of
Activities.
The train will depart from
Beaumont at 5:45 a.m.,
Nov. 7, and aririve in Kings -
ville at 5:30 that evening.
The train will depart from
Kingsville at 11:59 p.m.
November 7 and arrive in
Beaumont at 11:15 the next
morning.
The cost of the round-trip
train fare is $10.25. Game
ducate are $1 and are avail -
able in Beaumont. Dr.
McDonald has graciously
volunteered to provide a
box lunch to all those mak-
ing the trip, thereby lessen-
ing the overall expense.
The Cardinals, rated No.l
in the nation prior to the
Howard Payne game, is now
competing for LSC honors
with East Texas, SFA, and
Texas A&I. Each haye ?
3-1 record.
Both the band and the
cheerleaders are going tt
the game via train. A min -
imum if seventy-five
people is needed to insure
tne special frire arid
c o a c hes. It is suggested
that dates be arranged in
"Dutch Treat" fashion.
The Cardinals boast one
of the finest records in the
state.and have an excellent
o p p ortunity to capture all
or part of the LSC title.

Awards for the Fraternity
and Sorority Pledge Classes
selling the most annuals
during the annual sales
competition among the
ple'dge classes were dis-
tributed. Fred Dishman,
Editor of the Cardinal,
gave these awards to Delta
Zeta sorority and Sigma Nu
fraternity.
Trophies for the award
winning floats in Saturday’s
parade were given out by
Scott Pool, student chair-
man of the Homecoming
Parade and Float Com-
mittee.

Nancy Liby, Yvonne Robb
Betty West and Jerry
Matthews.
Court Presented

Gym. All the royalty was
attired in white formats and
they were entertained by

Among Students in Ameri-
can Universities and Col-
leges according to Mr.
George McLaughlin, di-
rector of student activities.
The only students eligible
are ones from the junior
and senior classes. They
were nominated by the
faculty and students on the
basis of scholarship,
leadership, co-operation in
educational and extra cur-
ricular
citizenship, and
usefulness.
Faculty Chooses
A faculty committee rep-
r e s e n t e d by all areas of
Lamar Tech student ac-
tivities, and headed by Mr.
George McLaughlin chose
the nominees.
There were 23 seniors
chosen out of 93 nomi-
nations and 11 juniors
chosen from 26 nomi-
nations. These students
were then approved by
Who's Who Among Students
in American Universities
and Colleges.
