Dr. Cricket Makes Survey
Draws interesting Conclusion
PICTURE 1: A sleeping beauty? A beauty sleeping? Oh, heck! a typical student in class, PICTURE 2: when tied securely with a rope
(we didn't have a safety belt) PICTURE 3: could not, no matter how hard she tried, fall out of her chair while sleeping in class.
PICTURE 4: Oh, wait a moment. Picture 3 was not always correct. The facts are that out of 499 people experimented with, 200 could
not fall out of their chair, 80 fell out with chair and all, and 209 died of poor circulation. —Photos by Cricchio.
Dr. Advises
Safety Belts
By Frank Cricchio
In a recent study made by
Dr. "Cricket," associate
professor of applied cam-
pusology from Podunk Ab-
normal, it was found that
there was a great need for
safetybelts to be used, not
only in automobiles ,but al -
so in the class room.
It was discovered that out
of 499 students interview-
ed, 500 of them fell asleep
in class. (The other per-
son was a licr.) Out of
these 500 students that fell
asleep in class, 488 fell out
of their seats, flat on their
The other 11 students,be-
ing affected by the spring
surroundings, floated
slowly to the ceiling. (The
one person that didn't fall
asleep in class dropped out
of school.)
A simple test showed that
if safety belts were applied
to the student and chair,
that 200 fell asleep and did
not fall out of their chair,
80 fell over with chair and
all, and 209 people died of
poor circulation.
