Notes

The oldest material in the book is an annual convention brochure, dating to 1921, for the 6th District meeting of the Texas Federation of Women's Clubs. Special emphasis is on Hardin-Simmons University and includes information about the School of Art, art contests sponsored by HSU and the 1927 Art Levee. Exhibit brochures of the Women's Forum Art Unit are included and date from 1927 through 1931. The Forum constitution and a listing of membership and officers is also present. Pages of a magazine by Homer Hutto, published in 1926 and entitled "The Athens of the West" referring to Abilene, Texas, are pasted into the book. This publication includes photographs of the sights in the city at the time. A history of the Texas Federation of Women's Clubs to 1925 is also included. The book ends with a few pages referred to as the Pressbook for 1932 to 1933.

Updates were added at later times and include clippings dating to 1960.
