meet. Those who made the region-
al band were Carol Gumm; on
bass clarinet, Grover Colwell on
Eb. clarinet, Harold Toups on
bass horn, and Chris Rainey on
utility percussion. Chris will also
get to go to the area meet.
A presentation of the Christmas
Messiah w!as given in the Refugio
High School Auditorium on Sun-
day, December. 15th. Members of
the community choir to present the
Messiah wiere picked and directed
by Mr. A1 English. Organist was
Mrs. Jack Slack.
The annual junior play was al-
so performed in the Refugio High
School auditorium- The play “Our
Town” by Mjpmton Wilder, was
presented on December 13th, 14th
under the direction of Mr. Gus
Candler.
A Christmas tree was decorated
on Sunday afternoon by members
of the Student Council. A barrell
was placed in the hall for stu-
dents to put their Christmas candy
in. The Student Council is also col-
lecting food from,! the different
classes to distribute to needy farri-
ilies.
