EVENTS CALENDAR
is published quarterly by the Travel Information
Division of the Texas Department of Transpor-
tation with information from Texas chambers
of commerce, convention and visitors bureaus,
and event organizers.
Dates for events listed in this calendar were
correct at the time of publication and are
subject to change. Please confirm dates in
advance by calling the number listed or by
contacting the local chamber of commerce.

The preferred way to submit events is online at

Events can also be submitted via email to
TexasEvents@txdot.gov. All event listings must
include a city, exact start and end dates, location
(venue and/or address), public contact informa-
tion (phone, website and/or email) and a brief
description. Event listings are reviewed before
approval and may be edited.

Texas Travel Information: Travelers may receive highway condition information from TxDOT
by visiting www.drivetexas.org or by calling 800/452-9292 for 24-hour automated highway condi-
tion information and seasonal reports on locations of scenic spring wildflowers. Travelers may also
call daily, from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Central time, to speak to a professional travel counselor for travel
information and trip-planning assistance.

CENTERS:
Texas Travel Information
Centers are open 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
daily, and from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. 10
Memorial Day weekend through
Labor Day. The Capitol Visitor Center hours are

9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, noon-5 p.m. Sunday,
year-round. All centers are closed on New Year's Day, Easter,
Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. (Noted on map
by star and corresponding number.) Travel information centers
feature electronic kiosks where travelers can purchase discounted
tickets to participating Texas attractions through a partnership with
the Texas Travel Industry Association.1
