List Announced
Preservation Texas names the state's historical
sites that are most at risk. The list includes,
among others, a moveable jail cell, several
hotels, a theatre, and a church.
World War II Confinement Sites in Texas
During the second world war, the Lone Star
State was home to five enemy alien internment
camps. Through a joint state and national effort,
these sites are now being preserved and their
history interpreted for future generations.
