company, returned Sunday night from
a two weeks’ visit to the beautiful

SUMMER TOURIST RATES
W. C. Stewart, who has been quite

returned home yesterday much im-
proved W. C.’c many friends will be
glad to welcome bim back to Orange
and know he ia on the road to com-
plete recovery.

left yesterday for Galveston, where
they will Bpend a week and Incident-
ally attend the ceremonies consequent
upon the presentation of the silver
service to the cruiser Denver.
Mr. J. G. Johnson this morning pre-
sented his daughter, Miss Minnie, with
one of the handsomest rubber-tired
runabouts seen on the streets of Or-
ange in some time. Mias Minnie is,
of course, delighted with her new rig
and she and her girl friends will en-
joy many pleasant drives therein dur-
ing the remainder of the summer and
fan.

' Mr. Cates Ford, partner with Max
H. Miller in the Gate City Brokerage
company, received a telegram from
Mr Miller, who mysteriously diaap-
jpeared Sunday night, dated at E51
raso, which conveyed to him the
pleasing Information that Mr. Miller
was wedded yesterday afternoon to
Miss Ethleen Barbee, the wedding tak-
ing pl«ie in El Paso, where Miss Bar-
bee was visiting relatives. The young
couple leave El, Paso today for Cloqd
croft and other mountain resorts and
expect to be at home to their friends
in Orange about September 1.
Max Miller is the son of Alderman
Julius Miller and belongs to the lead-
ing Jewish family of the city. He is
a young man of sterling character,
keen business sagacity and numbers
his friends only by his acquaintance
list. Two years ago he and Mr. Ford
established the Gate City tookerage
company and have made a phenome-
nal success In the brokerage buslneas
here.
Mrs. MillerHs a daughter of Captain
Barbee of El Paso and a sister of Mrs.
J. L. Harris of this city, with whom
she has made her home for the past
two years. She is a violinist,of rare
skill and delicate touch and has won
her way into the hearts of our people
by her divine gift and charming per-
sonality.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Mttler are mem-
bers of the Hannonia and Mandolin
clubs, two leading musical organisa-
tions of Orange, and a recital or mu-
sical event is never considered eotp-
plete without them oh the program.
The wedding of Mr. Miller and Mtsa
Barbee marks the third of such Inter-
esting and happy events that have
been consummated between members
of She Harmoiffa club during the paat
year. Mr. E. V. Folsom and Miss Em-
ma Curtis and Mr. D. A. Ford and
Miss Alice Green having been the for-
mer couples to enter the matrimonial
state while members of. that popular
organisation.
Tribune extends to Mr. and Mrs.
Miller happiest felicitations on- their
marriage and wishes for them s long
