i Charles Press Is still

on this proposition, but
success. It takes the com
bined effort of the entire people to
secure these things. This Is an ex-
ample to our people and they should

Is learned from good authority that
r a few days was to be spent in
AOjtas and Orange and Beaumont
were not to be included in the itiner
ary, but our people took the matter
up in earnest and pushed it. Even
with the combined efforts of Orange
and Beaumont it would have been a
m failure but for the personal influ-
ence of Hon. Sam Bronson Cooper,
oar able congressman. When he in-
sisted on the party visiting Southeast
Texas, Chairman Burton, though a
staunch republican, could not say
him nay, and added two days more to

^ ^ example of what an old and

P Lake Charles come to Orange to see
