Fourteen cases of strept throat
and three of chickenpox were
reported in Milam county during
the wf-ek ending Jan 3, it wa*
announced this we*k by the
Milam County Health Depart-
ment.

eron last week in the Fust Presby-
terian church of that city The

Mrs. Green was County Welfare
.Agent in Cameron before moving
to a similar position in Odessa in
recent months.
Mr Black is sheriff of Milam
county.
1958 Fire Losses
Drop to $1,375.73
Fir*- m«urance losses in Rock-
lale dropped sharply during 1958,
a check of the city fire marshall’s
records showed tins week.
Losses fur the year were only
$1,375.73, compared to $9,332 64
during 1957.
Only five fire losses covered
by insurance were reported in
1958, the worst, $528 75, coming
in June
Other losses were $306 98 in
June, $500 in August. $30 in Sept-
ember and $10 in November, the
fire marshall’s records show
