BITTER OR BETTER?
Today is a day of pressure. Some good and some bad,
but we most definitely live in a fast-paced society of do
this, go here, and be there. Everyone sees the result of
this fast-paced society in their bodies as well as
emotions. If we’re not careful we find ourselves being
locked and trapped into prisons whether it be finances,
our jobs, certainliabits, or our own inner frustrations *
You see it’s one thing to go through a problem. It’s
quite another to let the problem go through you. One
will make you better and stronger, and can only be
accomplished by the power of Jesus. The other will
make you bitter, hurt, and scarred as the pressures
mount in your inner being.
Paul, in this scripture, was writing while in a prison.
While he could have been whining and getting bitter
over his pressures and circumstances, he didn’t
because he had found reality and fulfillment through
Jesus Christ. He said in verse 21, “To me to live is
Christ, and to die is gain.”
There are many reading this today who are in
prisons just like Paul. Oh, not physically, but they are
emotionally and spiritually. The pressure and circum-
stances are such that you feel trapped and
misunderstood. JESUS IS THE ANSWER. As you cast
your care upon Him I pray you will sense the bitterness
and hurt begin to leave. He wants to heal your spirit.
He wants to love you and understands what you’re
feeling. He want to make you better instead of bitter IF
YOU’LL ONLY LET HIM!
