Montague Tells
How To Take Care
Of Poultry
Complaints are coming in ns to
poultry “not doing so good,” F. 0.
Montague, Matagorda County farm
agent, reports.
“Usually we find that the flock
is infested with lice, mites, nnd
worms which can all be controlled
easily with spraying the roost with
burnt lube for mites, dusting the
bird with sodium flouride for lice,
and a worm pill to each hen for
worms,
"Too much crowding in the
houses will encourage roup, the
worst disease a flock can have, and
• typhoid, which can be controlled by
vaccination. Let’s take better care
of the poultry. They are very val-
uable and needed at this time,” Mr.
Montague concludes.
