Mrs. Toombs mother, Mrs. Ruth

Mr. and Mrs. B. K. Mallon and
children, Jean and Tommie of Bell
Meade, N. J., arrived in Coleman
Monday morning and moved to
their ranch, the former Henry
Horne place, on the Olen Cove road.
The van bringing their furniture
arrived at the same time and no
time was lost in getting settled in
their new home. Jean and Tommie
enrolled in the local school Tuesday.
Mr, and Mrs. J. W. Croft left
Tuesday for Grand Prairie where
they will make their home. They
were accompanied by their daugh-
ter Mrs.’ Ralph Hodges and baby
who are making their home with
them, while husband and father Is
overseas with the armed forces. Mr.
Croft has a position with Consoli-
dated Air Craft, Dallas. They sold
their home to Mrs. Aimy Teahley.
Mrs. P. B. Hagler returned Mon-
day from a few days visit In Hous-
ton with her.son Hal. She was ac-
companied to Houston by another
son Bruce and wife who will make
their home there.
Mrs. Eldon Knox, and Mrs. J. T.
Runkle visited in Abilene Monday,
with Mr, Runkle's daughter, Mrs,
Vernon Rose. Mrs. Runkle’s grand
daughter, Sue Ann returned home
with her for a visit.

Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Jones visited
with relatives In Lubbock the first
of the week
Mr. and Mrs. Don Sawyers and
son Donald, visited here the past
week end with her mother, Mrs.
H. J. McDonald. They took Donald
to Bryan Tuesday where he resum-
ed his studies at Allen’s Military
Academy.
J. T. Person of Santa Anna, Whon
route, was a business visitor in
Coleman Monday. He stated that
about an inch rain fell at his place
the past week and filled his water
tank.

were Coleman visitors Saturday.
Walter Jack Barnes, student at
the University of Texas, visited
here the past week end in the home
of Mrs. R. R. Hubert and Mrs.
Louis Randall.
Mrs. Franky Sedwick spent from
Friday to Sunday in Fort Worth
with her sister, Mrs. Irene Doolley.

las visited here through the week
end with her sister, Mrs. J. W.
Mead.
Mrs. Robert Bowen of Huntsville,
was back In Coleman during the
week end. Her mother and sister,
Mrs. Wilson Jordon and Miss Bev-
erly Jordon of Brady visited with
her while she was back ot home.
Mrs Carvel Hector left the past
week for Marietta, Ohio, where she
Joined A/C Hector who is a stu-
dent at the University there.

State Teachers College, Denton, for
the winter term.
Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Johnson and

were Coleman visitors Friday after-
noon. Mrs. Howard's daughter.

in the Coleman school returned
home with her mother to spend the (■

Mrs Evelyn Hamby of Los An-
geles, Calif., is spending two weeks
with her sister Mrs. Harry Rogers
and family at Gouldbusk. Mrs
Rogers and little son and Mr;
Hamby were Coleman visitors Fri-
day.
Mrs R H. Johnson is confined
to her bed from Injuries received
when she fell at her home Satur-
day Several stitches had to be
taken in a scalp wound and her
back was injured.

enrolled In the freshman class at
Southwestern Texas State TeaoBmw
College, San Marcos, for the fall
semester. She is the daughter of
Mr and Mrs George Sparkman.
