presented a talk, ."Car Care",
for members of Good Neighbor
Extension Homemakers Club in
session Friday morning in
Coleman., Bank Cl&b. He pre-
sented a slide program and told
the women that it is very
important to read the owner’s
manual and to follow a regular
maintenance program since
regular maintenance makes for
longer car life.
Mrs. Winnie McQueen, pres-
identT conducted the meeting.
Sherlyn Stevens led the Texas
Extension Homemakers Assoc-
iation Creed and Sue Brown led
the Pledge to the Flag. Becky
Wiginton gave a report on a
recent called meeting of the.
■ Coleman County Extension
Homemakers Council, stating
that Anna Jenkins, TEHA
chairman, needs to know by
March 14 the names of those
who plan to attend the district
meeting in Llano April 3.' She
asked those who plan to make
the trip to call Wanda Rags-
dale, 625-2475, ■ as soon as
possible. Registration .fee for
this meeting is $4.25.
In conclusion the hostess for
the meeting, Mary Frances
Smith, served cake, coffee, and
soft drinks to Sue Brown, Anna
Jenkins, Winnie McQueen,
Wanda Ragsdale, Sherlyn
Stevens, Connie Watson, Becky

March 4 in the Conger's Club-
room and selected new officers.
Nan Moses was elected presi-
dent; to assist her is the , new
vice-president, Beverly Altum.
Also elected were Tricia Hen-
derson as treasurer and secre-
tary, Lav-ell Walters as card
chairmAYi, and Lilia Walters as
reporter. The outgoing officers
include, president Tricia Hen-
derson, vice president Nan
Moses, treasurer-secretary
Kate Phillips, eacd chairman
Vicky Phillips, and reporter
was Kay Walker.

marriage of their daughter,
Tena, to Terry Nabors, son of

Miss Chambers, 1977 grad-
uate, of Coleman High School
and a former student at Angelo
State University, is employed
at San Angelo National Bank.
Her fiance, who graduated from
De Leon High School and
attended Angelo State Univer-
sity, is employed "at First City
Bank of Farmers Branch.
Three Women
Host Meeting
Of Mary Glass
Three women; Mmes;-Della
Ashcraft, Zellie Dixon, and
Jewel McMinn, hosted a meet-
irig of Mary Class of First
Baptist Church Thursday in the
Activity Building at the church.
Twelve members and two
guests were present for this
monthly business and social
meeting.
Mrs. Opal Lengefeld, out-
reach leader, presided after an
opening prayer by Mrs. Helen
Brown. Members answered roll
call by quoting verses of scrip-
ture. Then the secretary read
minutes, and gave reports from
the secretary and the treasur-
er. Reports were also given of
those who were ill.
Mrs. Lolita Winstead led
devotions with a talk, “A Brief
Prayer on a Coffee Break." The
class sang “What a Friend We
Have'm Jesus,” and. Mrs. Bill
Stiles led a Bible quiz, “Birds
and Women of the Bible."
Rosalie Patterson led the clos-
ing prayer. .....
