Kenneth Ray Dill had
hopes of having the notice
of public nuisance violation
rescinded Monday by the
Brown County Commission-
ers Court, but that did not
happen.
Dill said the letter giving
him notice of the violation
had been threatening to him,
and argued that what Brown
County Sheriffs Deputy Mi-
chelle Holder had cited him
for was not trash, but things
of value - and the value
could change day-to-day,
depending on “the market.”
Items of value included
hundreds of Mason jars,
many broken and piled near
the fenceline dividing Dill’s
property from the Hampton
family’s land, sheets of bent
and rusted corrugated metal,
toilets, old machines and
three vehicles that no longer
run.
The sheriff’s office had
been made aware there was

KBB clean-up on Opal Street
GENE DEASON / BROWNWOOD BULLETIN
Craig Seger, left, and Cary Perrin, program coordinator of Keep Brownwood Beau-
tiful, worked along a vacant parcel of property on Opal Street Monday afternoon
picking up litter. Perrin said the area, located off C.C. Woodson Road across from
Tractor Supply, collects considerable amounts of trash and debris. Clean-ups such
as this are held periodically by Keep Brownwood Beautiful, and volunteers are al-
ways welcome. KBB meets at 6 p.m. on the last Tuesday of each month at the City
Services Center, 4200 Highway 377 South.

Oct. 22 through Nov. 2 at
Adams Street Community

Brown County Elections
Administration Office. Nor

the final two days of the
two-week early voting pe-

Weekend hours are also
planned in the middle of
the two-week span, giving
Brown County voters a
total of 12 days on which
to choose a time to cast
ballots early. Young hopes
that will also eliminate any
excuses county residents
have regarding the conve-
nience of the voting hours.

Saturday, Oct. 27.
The hours will be from
noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday,
Oct. 28.

7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Polls will
be scattered throughout
the county, and a list will
be published closer to the
