Dear Exes:
I just received the list of 1975
graduates. There are more than 200
this year, and that gives us 200 more
exes. Always glad to welcome a new
group.
For the ones of you who did not
receive our card announcing the Bob
Hope show, we didn't have a def-
inite date until shortly before the
show, and got the cards out as soon
as possible. Also, we had over 500
of the cards returned by the post
office, because the addressees h a d
moved.
Our r e q u e s t for copies of the
"Lasso" certainly p a i d off. Mrs.
Wirerenner g a v e us all of Dr.
Winebrenner's copies. Troy Brooks
('17) sent his copies. The very old
ones are bound in leather, and we
are verve proud of them. Burl Wil-
liams (DBC '37) sent us a copy of
the 1937 Daniel Baker "Trail". We
can still use any others that might
he available.

O. D. HENLEY is dedicating a
book of poems and a song to the
Class of 1922. He is still living in
San Angelo.
ALEX EDWARDS ('33) sent us
the addresses of two exes in the
Abilene. Texas area, TRUETT LIT-
TLE and T. H. (BOB) NAIL. Alex
is retired from teaching and admin-
istration, le was principal of Crock-
ett School in Abilene.

been assigned to a new job as Trea-
surer and Business \anager of thv'Chile Mission of the Foreign Mission

DORIS GARRETT ('49) returned
to Nigeria around the first of April.
She has been in Houston while on
furlough.
BONNIE CIIAPPELL ('48) is
secretary to the president of GOLD-
EN GATE BAPTIST THEOLOGI-
CAL SEMINARY. She wrote to give
us the address of Philip Tilden.
ALVIS STEWART ('49) wrote to
say hello, and a special hello to the
Class of '49. He is living in Aurora,
Colorado.
BOBBIE HAMILTON HENDER-
SON ('47) is living in Iran and
teaching. One son just graduated
from TCU and another is attending
SWTU.

Received a long letter from DAN
W. PROCTOR ('54). His name had
been among those we printed in the
last Link asking for current address-
es. His old roommate, REV. DON
MOORE, of Kansas City, Mo., had
told him that we were looking for
him. Since he left Howard Payne
he has received a B.D ('58) and a
Th. D ('63) from Southwestern Bap-
tist Seminary. He then went to North
Greenville Jr. College to teach Bible
and Greek, remaining there for four
years. For the last six years he has
been at Gardner-Webb College in
Boiling Springs, N. C., as Director
of Guidance and Counseling.
MAURICE SMITH ('53) received
a Th. D from SWBTS in December,
and CHARLES AUBREY THRASH-
ER ('58) received a D/Min.
DAVID & CLAUDIA KING ('52)
have returned to Beirut, Lebanon
after a furlough, which was spent
in. Irving, Texas.
T. EDWARD MERCER ('55) has
been named assistant vice president
for College Advancement in Public
Relations at Marv Hardin-Baylor
College. Mercer has been a faculty
member at MH-B for 13 years.
REV. JERRY HARRIS, ('57) as-
sociate pastor and minister of educa-
tion at Foxworthy Baptist Church.
San Jose. CA., is serving as a mem-
ber of the Southern Baptist Foreign
\fission Board.
DR. BILL J. DOCGETT ('52)
has become superintendent of theWritten Village Home for the men-
tally retarded in Clinton, S.C. For
the past four years Bill has been the
deputy commissioner of the Texas
Department of Mental Health and
Mental Retardation.

DAVID LOWE ('68) has recently
moved from Atlanta, Ga. where he
has been organist and c h o i r co-
ordinator at the First Baptist Church,
to Huntsville Alabama. He is organ-
ist at the First Baptist Church, and
teaches organ at the University of
Alabama.
J. DANNY NORMAN ('68) h a s
been named as Personnel Manager
of the Oakland Tribune.
LOWELL BISHOP ('64) a n d
VIRGINIA (Sikes) BISHOP ('63)
have a new son, Ty Edward. born
October 14, 1975. They also have
Erick, who is 5, and Amy, 4. Lowell
is head track coach at Monahans
High School, and led the Lobos to
the AAA State Track Championship
in. 1973.
REV. DWAYNE MARTIN ('66)
has been named pastor of the First
Baptist Church in Sweetwater. He has
been in Vernon the past two years.
CAPT. JEFF R. TURNER ('67)
and his wife the former, Dawn Love,
are now living at Fort McClellan,
Alabama, where Jeff is serving as
Comptroller, Noble Army Hospital.
He completed his Master of Bus-
iness Administration from St. Mary's
in San Antonio, in December 1974.
Randy & CAROLYN SUE (Truett)
CROSLAND ('71) a r e living in
Denton where Randy is manager of
the Denton office for Capital Fin-
ancial Services. Carolyn is kept busy
at home with their daughter, Tracy
Alexandra, born April 24, 1974 and
named after Carolyn's favorite pro-
fessor, Dr. Nat Tracy.
