met in her home at 3 p, m.
The meeting was opened with
a prayer by Mrs. Ruth Williams.
The new hymnal was discussed
and the reports from members
on the Smorgasbord-Style Show
Luncheon were approved.
The meeting "was adjourned to
meet at the Parish House, Sept-
ember 27, at 3 p. "m. with Mrs.
Harry Dibrell as hostess. Boxes
will be packed and Sent to Chris-
tian Missionaries.

Supper Party Held
A Supper Party was held In
the City Park for the members
and the associate members of
the T.E.L. Class of the First
Baptist Church on September 7.
Guests of the party, of which
the husbands were honorees,
were Brother and Mrs. Wigger.
Mrs. Wigger led an after sup-
per fun program, and singing of
hymns and a prayer by Brother
Wigger brought the enjoyable
evening to a close.
Thirty two members and guests
were present.

to the Business Women's Class
of the First Baptist Church at
7:30 p.m. Thursday.
A business meeting was held
with the election of officers tak-
ing place.
The meeting was opened with
the Class Teacher, Mrs, Clyde
Larancc, leading the group in
prayer.
The devotional was given by
Mrs. Charles King. ,
Officers elected for the coming
year were Mrs. Earl Byrd, presi-
dent. Mrs. Charles King,'•Vice-
President, and assisting her are
Mrs. Charles Blanton, Mrs. Irene
Lanford and Miss Betty McCul-
lough. Mrs. Clyde La ranee was
re-elected as class teacher, with
Mrs. Kenneth Croom assisting
her. Mrs. Nellie Howell was elec-
ted os treasurer and Miss Lois
Atchlcy were chosen as class re-
presentative.
After the business session a so-
cial hour was held and refresh-
ments were served to the follow-
ing members: Mrs. Ida Smith,
Mrs. Fannie Melton, Mrs. 1 (
Tubbs. Miss Lois Atchlcy, Mrs.
Clyde Larancc. Mrs. Faye Byrd,
Mrs. Parks, Mrs. Irene Lanford,
Mrs. Nellie Howell, Miss Era
Bennett. Mrs. Lucille Perry. Mrs.

and her mother, Mrs. Sue Keeton
