Mrs. Paul Golson Is
Hostess To Live Oak
HD Club Meet Tuesday
Mrs. Paul Golson was hos-
tess to the Live Oak HD Club '
when it met in her home Tues-
day afternoon with Mrs. Seth
Burkett conducting the business
session.
Group singing was led by Mrs.
Willie Henderson and Mrs. Clif-
ford Wilson led the pledge and
prayer. The council report was
given by Mrs. Clyde Thate and
the exhibit chairman, Mrs. Cai-
lie Gray, asked for an Easter 1
exhibit for the March 23rd mee‘-
ing. Mrs. H. T. Porter suggest-
ed the historian refer back to
the Rae-Echo Club to start the
history of the Live Oak Club.
Mrs. Maurice Parsons was ap-
pointed civil defense chairman
and Mrs. Clyde Thate was elec-
ted to be presented to the coun-
cil as delegate to the district
meeting at Brady in April.
Mrs. H. T. Porter read her
feature story, “A Roving Cluu
Member’1 that was printed in
the local papers February 26.
. Mrs. D. Williams, program

cipe leaflets on waffles and hot
! cakes made from the master

| Mrs. Golson. Mrs. Thate receiv-
ed the gift box.
Refreshments were served to

fer, Callie Gray, D. Williams,
Maurice Parsons. Clifford Wil-
son, Bob Anderson, Willie Hen-
derson and the hostess.
The next meeting will be Fri-
day, March 9 with Mrs. Callie
, Gray as hostess.
Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Runkle of San
Antonio spent the weekend in the
John B. Howell home. Runkle, pro-
fessor of English at Texas Military
Institute, was former Supt. of
Schools here.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Snyder
of Saginaw, Mich., are visiting
in the home of Miss Kathryn
England. ,
Danny Howell, student at A&M,
and Jerry Howell, student at Bay-
lor, will spend the weekend with
their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Johnny
B. Howell.

In a double ring ceremony
Saturday, February 17 at 8 o’-
clock in the evening Miss Ina
Ree Pollock, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Guy E. Pollock of
Coleman, became the bride of
James Mack Eubank. He is the
son of Mrs. S. J. Eubank of
Wizard Wells.
The Rev. James C. Shipman
performed the ceremony in the
parsonage of the North Coleman
Baptist Church, which was dec-
orated with red and salmon
roses.
The brid wore a navy military
style suit, white blouse, fashion-
ed with a lace yoke, and red
accessories. She wore a shoulder
corsage of red carnations. Her
only jewelry was blue rhine-
stone ear rings.
Mrs. Joe Harrell, who was
matron of honor, wore a black
taffeta and velvet ballerina
length dress and a white carna-
tion shoulder corsage.
Joe Harrell served the groom
as best man.
Mrs. Eubank is a 1949 gradu-
ate of Coleman High School and
is now employed at Mayes Drug
Stare.— The groom • -gradtrated-
from Jacksboro High School in
1943.
The couple are making their
home at 414 West Eleventh, Cole-
man. Eubank is employed with
Lee Geophysical Company.
The bride’s parents, Mr. and
